Zip slider replacement

Our zip slider replacement service is ideal for cases where the zip itself is in good condition but the original slider is failing. Whilst we may not be able to match the original slider, we can replace it with a compatible component restoring smooth functionality without having to replace the zip entirely.

Zip Replacement Service

We offer a comprehensive zip replacement service covering main zips, pocket zips, vent zips and leg zips. All of our zips are from YKK and we stock Coil, Vislon, Aquaguard, Aquaguard Vislon and heavy duty Aquaseal. Whilst we cannot guarantee to match your original colour, we stock a selection of colours for each type of zip to ensure a suitable replacement. Plus, if your original zips have taped seams, we will replace the tape to keep it fully functional.

Press stud (Popper) Replacement

We stock a range of press studs suitable for replacing damaged and missing studs. If your damaged stud is internal, such as inside a storm cover, don’t worry we can replace these too!

Velcro Replacement

Whether it’s Velcro on your cuffs, hood or storm cover, we can remove and replace it to ensure that it fastens correctly. If your jacket has tabs on the cuffs which are damaged, we can also make new fabric tabs to replace them.

Tear Repairs

We can repair damage to both outer fabric, and inner linings. Each tear repair is treated as a bespoke case to get the best possible results. Where necessary, we will re-tape the repaired area to ensure that it is still watertight.

Yes. We use high quality materials and seam tape to ensure that any repairs we carry out will be waterproof.

Unfortunately, no. We are not able to source the original material or components however, we stock a variety of options and will match as closely as possible.

Yes, we stock a wide range of zips from YKK including coil, Vislon, Aquaguard, Aquaguard Vislon and Aquaseal.

Unfortunately, no. Once an item starts to delaminate, there is nothing that can be done and it will continue to get progressively worse.

If the garment has an internal lining then we are unable to offer a full re-tape on it. However, if it is a single layer waterproof shell then we may be able to re-tape it. If you are unsure, please email some photos of the item to info@lsrmail.co.uk and our customer service team should be able to assist from there.
